Garba : Longest Public Dance Festival in the World!!!
Garba is originated from Gujarat state of India. This festival is celebrated till 9 Nights of Navratri.
People are doing "Shakti Upasana" for getting blessing from Goddess Amba / Durga during Navratri.
People are playing Garba in circular form with keeping Goddess Amba's statue/picture in middle. Garba steps are varies from city to town to village of Gujarat. Ahmedabad and Vadodara are famous cities for Navratri to play Garba till late night.
Also there is a special dresscode for male and female to play Garba. Females/Girls are wearing colorful Chaniyacholi, Ghaghracholi, Bandhani Saree and Males/Boys are wearing Kediyu and Kurta during Navratri festival.
